Roche Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula kit

Roche Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula kit

Roche have introduced the Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula kit. The car is based on a narrow design 2.5mm high-grade carbon fibre chassis to reduce chassis scrub in corners and it also features a front suspension system made up of 2.5mm carbon parts that allow to adjust the caster angle in a range of 3 degree up to 12 degree. The front end also allows the easy adjustment of the camber angle and steering Ackermann while incorporating an aluminium servo mount that can be used in a floating and fixed design. Other features include low friction pivot balls and ball studs, and polished kingpins. The chassis allows to run the battery pack in an inline or transversal position, and the kit includes a 7075 aluminium rear motor pod that utilises rear axle mounts with ride height spacers and the option to run the rear axle in +/-1mm forward or backward positions. The kit is rounded out by a highly precise ball differential with 5mm thrust bearing, clamp-type wheel adapter and a steel main shaft.

Schumacher Mi6 touring car kit

Coming soon from Schumacher is the Mi6 1/10th electric touring car kit. Born from the multi national championship winning Mi platform the car is designed for both carpet and asphalt tracks. Using much of the backbone of the Mi5 the Mi6 features conventional moulded composite suspension arms and bearing pivot points to offer free wishbone movement with no slop and with an even lower centre of gravity to carry even more corner speed. Beside the updated wishbone design the Mi6 also features a redesigned motor position for a more centralised weight distribution, a twin point steering, optimised chassis shape, CNC steel outdrives for durability as well as a 3mm front shock tower for a low weight and a 4mm rear shock tower for durability along updated bulkhead covers with ball-raced anti-roll bars. Serpent introduce revolutionary 4-X touring car

Serpent introduce revolutionary X4 touring car

During this weekend’s round 3 of the 2015/16 ETS in Wels, Austria, we were able to snap first images of Serpent’s revolutionary Project 4-X touring car prototype. The Serpent factory team of Wilck, Fischer and Borowski are running the car that was created with the input of newly appointed touring car designer David Ehrbar with the vehicle featuring a revolutionary decoupled pull-rod suspension system that uses two separate shocks to take care of the downtravel and the roll respectively. Designed to work without a top deck, the layout also features a very low centre of gravity and an inverted steering system – with the bellcranks facing towards the rear of the car, as seen on many 1/10th 2WD buggies – which allows for a more consistent Ackermann angle throughout the whole travel. Also completely new, the suspension arms and hubs use a pivot ball system and are completely identical for both front and rear end.
