MXLR A800R Front Body Support

MXLR has released this Front Body Support for the Awesomatix A800R to prevent deflection of the bodyshell under higher speeds.  With the trend of feather light bodyshells and even higher top speeds, deflection of bodyshells has became an issue with top racers.  The support also reduces the risk of cracking the front wheel arches of the bodyshell.  The result is an extended lifetime of your bodyshells combined with better performance on the track as the shell will stay in its original shape and produce more downforce.  The support is made of PA12 Nylon which is very durable and offers excellent tensile, abrasion and impact resistance.  In the design process MXLR took special care about the A800R front bulkhead design and the importance of “flex” in this area with the support designed to have the least flex influence possible.

Team Saxo GT-300W-V4 1:12 chassis

Team Saxo has announced details of the latest version of their 1:12 Pan car kit, the new GT-300W-V4.  Improvements to the new chassis over its predecessor include a number of key changes.  The first is its new  narrower Aluminium chassis which is better in race conditions especially in tight tracks.  As well as a  different design, the chassis is now stiffer which reduces wear rate but still allows adequate flex.  An improved rigidity Battery Securing System now uses O-ring rather than battery tape to hold the battery in position.  The distances between axles have also been shortened on the V4, increasing stability in corners.  A new 1-piece Bumper Collision Plate helps to better absorb front impact.

Xpress Execute XQ2S mid motor conversion kit

Xpress has released a mid motor conversion kit for their Execute XQ2S entry level 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  The performance upgrade kit moves the pulley to the middle of the drivetrain resulting in is equal length belts for both the front and rear for almost equal power delivery to both ends of the car allowing for earlier throttle exiting the corner.  By moving the pulley, the motor has been moved forwards as well putting more weight forwards and changing the weight balance by shifting one of the most heavy objects on the car.  The conversion kit includes a new chassis Plate, Upper Deck, Pulley, Bearings (9 pcs), Servo Mount Plate, Aluminium Servo Mount and two new Belts.

Capricorn RC Multi Tire Additive Machine

Italy’s Capricorn RC has presented CAD images of its new Multi Tire Additive Machine.  The main features are the possibility of performing the treatment on up to 4 rear and 4 front wheels at the same time.  Heating is generated by 4 halogen lamps capable of bringing the rubber to about 50 °C to facilitate penetration of the liquid.  The motor and lamps managed separately by a double command switch and it has interface tools dedicated to 1:10 and 1:8 wheel types with anti-bending flanges.  For the front wheels it is possible to choke to 1/3 1/2 2/3 of the width.  The Multi Tire Additive Machine is powered at 12V DC, and requires a minimum power supply of 50W.

Smart Starter GT Version

Smart Workshop has released a new version of their Smart Starter intend for 1:8 GT use.  The extended front tips are capable of accommodating GT models with a higher body shell height.  Like the original glow plug starter, it is a high efficiency high frequency synchronous step down DC/DC regulator capable of delivering up to 6A output current. It integrates main switch and synchronous switch with very low RDS (on) to minimise the conduction loss, Internal Soft-start Limits the Inrush Current.  It uses a replaceable 3.7V 1800mAh Lithium Iron Rechargeable Battery (Size 18500) with JST connector with build in protection board to prevent over charge and discharge.  One touch button to show five levels of the battery capacity. Red and Green indictor to show the charging progress.  Changeable Inner hexagon contactor use direct plug-in design without locking, user can insert or remove fast and smoothly during operating. In order to reduce the phenomenon of flashover and oxidation, Inner spring power contactor come with gold plated and both contactors make by 100% copper to minimise internal resistance.

Marka Racing Side Circle Ride & Droop Height Gauge

Italy’s Marka Racing has released two new set-up tools, the Side Circle Ride & Droop Height Gauge.  As a combination the tools allow the measurement of ride height and droop with the Ride Height Side Circle also available separately.  The idea originated years ago from the engineer Ivo Cavuoto that, with the help of the team, finally sees realised his project.  This tool, being two faced, is one of a kind because it can be used on both sides. This way is possible to get a more accurate measurement of the height from the ground with step of 0.1mm.  The tool extensively can measure from 2.9mm to 6.4mm.  Adding the second part of the tool that raises the Ride Height Gauge by 10mm is possible to measure the Droop, and the tool becomes a Droop Height Gauge.  In the second part of the tool there is a hole that allows the Awesomatix differential’s place for its upkeep.  The tool has being produced by CNC, anodised with the colour black and silver borders.
