Yokomo BD7-2016 Japan Edition asphalt spec kit

Yokomo have introduced the BD7-2016 Japan Edition kit that is specially aimed at asphalt racing. The limited edition is based off of the standard 2016 but it features some asphalt-specific option parts such as aluminium steering limiter screws, a front belt tensioner set, 43.5mm FR aluminium suspension mounts, SLF short II shock diaphragms, pink SLF short II springs, a titanium turnbuckle set as well as aluminium steering bellcranks and the 44mm C-clip rear universal shafts. Also included is a dedicated asphalt spec carbon fibre chassis. The Japan Edition kit will be in use by the Yokomo factory team at the forthcoming JMRCA nationals in July.

Revolution Design RP Ultra heat shield tape

New from Revolution Design Racing Products comes the Ultra heat shield tape, a special woven structure tape for the use in a variety of applications. The structure makes for ultra-high rigidity that is further upped by a foam-padded support layer. Overall the tape is nearly 1mm thick, making for exceptional protection against both heat and mechanical impacts. The extra-flexible tape is ideal to keep nitro fuel tanks from expanding due to exhaust heat, it keeps body shells from melting when applied from the inside and it also is usable to repair damaged body shells or to keep them from breaking. The tape comes in 100cm rolls and it is available now.

Xceed TH2 tyre heater with belt-type heat elements

Xceed’s popular TH2 tyre heater is now also available with belt-type heat elements. An addition to the cup-style heaters, the belt-type elements come for a range of applications, such as 1/8th GT, 1/8th buggy and also 1/10th touring and formula. The lightweight and easy-to-store elements offer convenient size adjustment within a certain range, utilising velcro straps, and they are also available separately for current TH2 owners.

Active Hobby YD-4 alloy steering rack & other optionals

Coming from Active Hobby Products and made for the Yokomo YD-4 drift kit are three new option parts in the form of an alloy steering rack, a composite rack arm set and a body mount bar. Starting with the aluminium steering rack, the part is CNC-machined from 7075 aluminium and it makes for improved steering precision while being very light of weight at the same time. The rack comes laser-etched for looks and it is available in a range of colours including black, silver, hard anodising and also dark blue and red.

Techra introduce new on-road & off-road option parts

Coming from Techra are several aluminium and carbon fibre option parts for a range of kits. First up are aluminium body height adjusters for Yokomo, Xray and VBC touring cars. Machined from 7075 aluminium and coming black anodised and with machined silver details, their design allows to use the parts with Yokomo-style 2mm and Xray/VBC-style 2.5mm body post pins. As usual with these type of adjusters the design of the parts allows for virtually step-less body height adjustments.

Pro-Spec introduce touring car Racing Belts

Japanese company Pro-Spec have announced the release of their new Racing Belt line of drivetrain belts for a range of touring cars. Available for most of today’s kits such as the Xray T4, Kyosho TF7, Tamiya TRF419X, Yokomo BD7-2016 and 2015, Awesomatix A800 and the R11, the Bando belts ensure a high efficiency and durability for a reliable low-drag drivetrain.

RC-Mission aluminium wheel axle sleeve

RC-Mission have introduced an aluminium wheel axle sleeve for their alloy rear axle shaft. Machined from lightweight aluminium the protective bushing prevents the driveshaft from loosing its crosspin in case the securing grub screw fails for whatever reason. The sleeve is a direct fit on RC-Mission’s BD7 and T4 rear alloy wheel shaft and it comes in sets of two.

Exotek F1R3 steering set for IFS-equipped kits

Exotek have introduced the F1R3 steering set for IFS-equipped F1R3 formula cars. The precision design adds eight ball bearings and two crush sleeves for the longest wearing, smoothest and most precise operation while the double bellcrank design makes for improved more linear Ackermann, making the steering feel more controlled, with less corner scrub. The set includes eight ball bearings, two crush sleeves, two alloy cranks, alloy steering rack, servo mounts, posts, servo link and hardware, it requires an F1R3 with the Exotek IFS set and it is not designed for use with the stock F104 front arms.
