Xray South Africa have announced the Xray Work.Shop that will be held on August 21st at the Welkom RC Track track in Cnr of Newby & Neser Str Welkom. Special guest Alexander Hagberg will teach all the latest and finest setup tips for the Xray T4’15 and participating at the workshop is free for everyone. Italian company Fenix have announced the forthcoming release of their all-new Mistral 1/10th Formula car. Named after the Paul Ricard circuit’s iconic Mistral straight the vehicle’s design is meant to keep a legacy between real Formula cars and RC racing. Packed with some “interesting and different” features the kit will become available by September.

Sweep Racing have introduced the all-new Evo16 multi-spoke rim for 1/8th GT vehicles. Designed to comply with the IFMAR rules the 16-spoke wheel offers a very realistic look, large 5mm venting holes and it is made from race-proven black or white colour ROK resin.

Capricorn have new lightweight spring retainers for their range of cars available. Machined from aluminium and sporting excessive milling the parts offer a low weight while being very durable at the same time. The black anodising helps to reduce wear and makes the parts more durable.

Shepherd have introduced new option parts for the Velox V8 in the form of hard-coated wheel axles that reduce the rotating mass by around 50 percent to improve the acceleration and overall handling of the car. The CNC-machined wheel axles are made from high-quality Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium which offers high strength and durability. A special hard-coating prevents the axles from excessive wear and an additional hole for the CVD pin simply doubles the lifetime. The axles are available separately or as a complete set with CVD driveshafts.

Power Star soon have a range of all-black servo available. The high-voltage compatible PL-2211 (0.094s/24kg-cm), PL-1610 (0.09s/18kg-cm), PL-1408 (0.078s/16kg-cm) as well as the standard voltage PL-1207 (0.074s/12kg-cm) low-profile servo feature plastic cases for a low weight while stainless steel and titanium gears allow for the usage in a wide range of applications from electric to nitro and on-road to off-road. An anti-shock system further adds to the robust design and the black wires make for a factory look.

Motiv RC have introduced the M-Code Pro Tuned brushless motors for 1/10th and 1/12th applications. The motors offer a short stack design, specially selected stator material for low power loss and they use high-quality pure copper wire for the windings. Other features include gold-plated solder tabs, a sintered rotor, high-quality neodymium magnet material and all-aluminium, high airflow cans for lower operating temperatures. Every M-Code motor is hand checked, assembled, and packaged by a professional in house at the WI, USA office and included with each motor is an analysis and quality control spec sheet. This Sheet is filled out on a motor to motor basis all threw testing and assembly and includes information unique to your M-Code motor. Available is a range of windings including 3.5T to 8.5T modified and 10.5T to 21.5T stock variants.
