EX Lab BD7 floating steering & servo mount

EX Lab BD7 floating steering & servo mount

Excellence Laboratory is busy introducing more option parts for some of the most common electric touring car kits. Following first renderings of a floating steering and servo mount for the Xray T4 earlier this week EX Lab now also announce the trick part for Yokomo’s BD7. The floating steering assembly is designed to remove the steering bellcrank posts from the main chassis which leads to a softer flex setting and less influence of the chassis flex on the steering geometry during cornering. It is understood that the set will include new inner and outer servo mounts, a redesigned upper carbon fibre plate, alloy steering posts and an additional post to connect the steering plate with the top deck for additional chassis hardness settings.

WRC 1/8th on-road quick release wheel mounts

WRC 1/8th on-road quick release wheel mounts

Italian company WRC introduce new quick release wheel mounts for 1/8th on-road cars. The design minimises possible imbalance as associated with conventional lever-type mounts as the WRC system uses a simple aluminium button that sits in-line with the wheel axle when to remove or mount the wheel and once the rim is in place the red alloy disc is pushed to the outside to lock the wheel in place. The system works with all rims brands and is used on WRC’s recently introduced GTX 1/8th on-road car.

EX Lab servo mount grommets

EX Lab servo mount grommets

EX Lab soon have special servo mount grommets available for the use with 1/10th and 1/8th scale servos. The washers are designed to interlock with the servo mounting lugs and they eliminate any possible movement of the servo’s case in the event of a crash or when running on very high bite surfaces. The grommets are expected to be available by the end of March.

Pro-Line limited edition Fuel Stick

Pro-Line limited edition Fuel Stick

Pro-Line introduce the “very limited edition” Fuel Stick. Used in Ty Tessmann’s dominating performance at the 2014 IFMAR Buggy Worlds, the Fuel Stick is designed as a no expense spared successor to the original Pro-Line Fuel Gun. Built for ultra-fast refuelling, the nozzle tip is also designed to fill the tank completely. The diffuser screen covering the outlet prevents excess splashing and prevents large bubbles from forming during filling. The vertical trigger orientation makes refuelling a truck or buggy more ergonomic especially when doing so over high pit walls and it is also good for use with 1/8th and 1/10th cars. An easy to read gauge marked in 10cc increments helps to estimate mileage at a glance. Continuing the over-the-top theme, the nozzle and trigger assemblies are made of machined billet aluminium anodised in Pro-Line blue. Each Fuel Stick is stamped with a unique serial number and certificate of authenticity verifying that it was fully made in the USA and hand assembled in Pro-Line’s Southern California headquarters.

Radtec BD7-2015 aluminium chassis

Radtec BD7-2015 aluminium chassis

Radtec introduce a 7075 aluminium main chassis plate for the Yokomo BD7-2015 touring car. Made from 2.0mm high-grade aluminium and using the kit’s original chassis shape the chassis offers a higher rigidity than the standard carbon fibre part and precision machining to reduce the overall weight. The left and right outer edges sport 15 degree chamfered edges to reduce chassis scrubbing in high speed corners and the black anodised chassis is a direct replacement for the kit part.
