GForce setup system & suspension gauges

GForce setup system & suspension gauges

Japanese company GForce introduce an aluminium setup system for 1/10th touring cars as well as a range of gauges for droop and ride height measurement. Starting with the setup system, it is designed to precisely measure camber and toe settings as well as the castor value. All parts are made from high-quality aluminium and knurled nuts allow for easy assembly and disassembly without additional tools being needed and the clear polycarbonate toe plate has cutouts to make way for long body posts. The setup system is available in black and blue colour and it comes in a zipped bag for easy storage and transportation.

Xtreme Racing XO-1 GT chassis conversion

Xtreme Racing XO-1 GT chassis conversion

Made for Traxxas’ XO-1 1/8th scale supercar is this carbon fibre chassis conversion kit from Xtreme Racing. Designed to replace the stock chassis and offering a short wheelbase configuration of around 324mm the converted car is usable with most 1/8th GT bodyshells. Included with the set comes a 3mm carbon fibre main chassis, a new shorter topdeck and new battery cups. The conversion will require some DIY work such as shortening the centre driveshaft by 80mm and some other minor modifications and beside the carbon fibre version there is also a black G10 fibre glass kit available.

Yokomo BD7 2015 Black Series touring car kit

Yokomo BD7 2015 Black Series touring car kit

As announced some days ago Yokomo soon have the 2015 version of their highly successful BD7 electric touring car available. Based on the previous kit the 2015 model will offer both stability and cornering speed for both Modified but also Stock class racing where regulations restrict maximum speed. To achieve this the 2015 car offers greater flex in the bulkhead area, a configuration that pioneered with the BD7 series. The BD7 2015 further evolves that trendsetting concept by lowering the centre-of-gravity with the bulkhead covers, and enabling a variable adjustment of the front and rear grip balance by attaching or removing newly-designed cross bulkheads. These features give the car much higher cornering speed.

Zen Racing Zen-RS Gen2 conversion kit

Zen Racing Zen-RS Gen2 conversion kit

Following the Zen-RS Gen2.1 conversion kit for the Team Associated R5 the UK company now also introduce the Gen2 kit. Common to both chassis is the option of inboard side spring locations on the cross braces and the lower pod plate. Having this option reduces the amount of side spring rate change giving a more linear feel. As a result this then allows the driver to use stiffer side springs with more adjustability and a more usable window of tuning. Different from the Gen2.1 this chassis is only usable with the Zen bellcrank system which has been updated to offer two Ackermann positions. The revised servo position moves weight forward and allows for better side to side balance. The forward chassis mounted shock locations again helps balance the chassis on and off power for a much smoother driving feel with the same corner speed.

Xenon Racing 84 pitch prototype gears

Xenon Racing 84 pitch prototype gears

Xenon Racing are currently testing new ultra-fine 84 pitch spur gears and pinions for the use with direct drive pan cars. With 64 pitch being tried and tested over decades the finer 84dp items will make for even higher efficiency and lower running noise. Prototypes of the gears will be in use at this year’s IFMAR Electric On-Road World Championships in the U.S. and it is understood that a decision whether the gears will make it into production or not will be made afterwards depending on the testing results.

KM Evo3 carbon fibre shock tower & camber plate

KM Evo3 carbon fibre shock tower & camber plate

KM introduce new carbon fibre option parts for their 200mm Evo3 nitro on-road car in the form of a rear shock tower and a camber plate. The shock tower is of a new design that gives finer adjustments for the shock angle with the low-profile design also allowing to mount the body lower if needed. As it is cut from thicker 4mm carbon material the shock stay is also meant to improve rear traction. Also new is a 4mm carbon camber plate and like the shock tower the part offers improved stability and finer adjustment steps compared to the kit plate.

More Tamiya & Kyosho news from Tokio

More Tamiya & Kyosho news from Tokio

A bit earlier today we brought you first images of the Tamiya TRF419 and what appears to be the follow-up model of the Kyosho TF6 and now more images are available from this week’s All Japan Hobby Show in Tokyo. First up is Tamiya’s recently announced Raybrig NSX Concept-GT kit that will become available on the TB-04 shaft-driven chassis. What makes the kit stand out is once again Tamiya’s highly detailed polycarbonate bodyshell and the huge decal sheet to resemble the full scale Raybrig NSX.
